Introduction to NHRMA Mutual Loss ControlThe Loss Control section of the NHRMA Mutual Program Manual has been developed to assist NHRMA Mutual Members to better manage their individual risk of employee injury and illness and exposure to workers compensation claims. The Manual is intended to provide guidance in identifying common injury and illness concerns and offering fundamental principles for establishing a safe and healthful work environment. The Manual is not a substitute for each member's specific safety policy and programs. Although the Manual addresses the more common and relevant issues facing NHRMA Mutual Members, it can in no way address every potential source, cause, or preventative measure for occupational injuries and illnesses. Sample forms and checklists are included in certain sections of the Manual and can be modified to match the unique needs of each NHRMA Mutual Member. NHRMA Mutual's Loss Control Consultants are available to assist you in developing facility specific safety programs, conducting safety and health hazard evaluations, performing safety in-service training, and completing injury trend analysis. To schedule an on-site visit or in-service training, request information, or have questions about reducing workers compensation exposure, feel free to call your Loss Control Consultant.
