Midwest Provider Insurance Company (MPIC)
Providers know better than anyone, long-term care operations involve people taking care of people, and sometimes accidents happen. If claims do occur, we work with our members throughout the often long and frustrating legal process so we can provide the best defense on every claim.
At MPIC, we try to actually start managing claims before they are ever filed. Our risk management team is fully integrated with the computerized incident reporting we implement at each facility. If we detect a problem, we will dig deeper into the reports to try to stop claims from developing by working with our members, dealing with family members and helping prepare for potential complaint investigations by the state.
If claims become legal, we have a specifically selected group of law firms that we use to defend your claims, which we coordinate with our claims management staff and in-house legal counsel. MPIC keeps you involved and informed throughout the often long and sometimes frustrating ordeal.
